promise.

Flipping through the dictionary pages but I could not find its definition. I could not stop thinking. What is a promise and why would people constantly makes promise(s) to others or to themselves. I can't help but come to this conclusion that a promise is the present you making a declaration of a future thing. strange enough? I have to be frank and admit that I barely can tell what's really going on in my life and needless to say I would be able to tell what will happen next. I really wish that you could assure me like the researches do that we can predict the future so I could now burn all my textbooks but still pass CLP. We all know and have to accept the truth is no one really knows what happens next. Despite so, it never ever had stopped us from doing whatever things we want to do. We still, however, make promises. strange enough. For one to make an assurance that he will do a particular thing, or to make a statement which signifies his willingness to do something when in fact the promisor himself is uncertain.

Putting aside the question marks and the rational part of me knows that it required a lot of courage for one to make a promise. A promise brings hopes and courage, it motivates you when you are down and brings you further. A promise keeps a relationship going, that you promised to be a better you. A promise is a promise. I am not here to discourage people from making promises, neither under promise and over deliver is good. Just think before you speak and act. I know it is hard. we all been there, either to make a promise or secretly wishing people keep their promise. Please remain your faith in promises, because a promise only becomes a promise when accepted by the promisee, else it stays as a proposal.

If only if you would let me to be bound by the definite promise.
